Transcription: That's the Great Basin Desert, the most northerly of the four and the coldest. Ecologically, therefore, it's also the least interesting, but, scenically, it can be very striking. The other three deserts are all hot deserts. Opinions differ about whether the Great Basin extends into Arizona or not. Some say it doesn't, but others say that the Painted Desert of northern Arizona is part of the Great Basin Desert.
